The Pedalshift Project 143: Tour Journals Vol. 12: Great Allegheny Passage by Brompton, Part 2

The Great Allegheny Passage is arguably one of the premier bicycle touring routes in the eastern half of the United States. It stretches from Pittsburgh, PA to Cumberland, MD over a gloriously mountainy 150 miles of crushed limestone paralleling some of the great rivers of western Pennsylvania. My plan was to grab a cheap bus to Pittsburgh and grab the train home at the end of my ride. On this edition of the Journal we follow along on Days 1 and (sort of) 2 on my ride through western Pennsylvania. Sometimes weather wins the day…

The Journal: Brompton Great Allegheny Passage tour, part 2

Watch the LIVE premiere of the GAP by Brompton video

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the States celebrating, and a happy Thursday to the rest of you. This is the second part of my Great Allegheny Passage adventure by Brompton!

If you’re hearing this on the day of release, I’m doing something a little fun with the video component… we’ll be doing a LIVE release of the GAP Brompton video Friday night November 23rd at 9pm ET. If you’re in the States, rush back from your Black Friday shopping (do we still do that?) and if you’re in Europe, get up stupidly early in the middle of the night! Why? We’ll have a live chat box so we can all watch the premiere together. Links to everything will be on the Pedalshift YouTube channel and at pedalshift.net/live. Again, world premiere video Friday 11/23 at 9pm ET!

On this edition of the Journal we follow along on Days 1 and (sort of) 2 on my ride through western Pennsylvania. Sometimes weather wins the day…

Statistics Day 1-2

Bike miles biked: 31
Campsites: 1
Tours scuttled by inhumane conditions: 1
